Laser Surgery
At Crossroads, our veterinary hospital offers Laser Surgery. There are many advantages in using laser surgery for your furry friend.
- Less Bleeding: As it cuts, the laser seals small blood vessels. This drastic reduction in bleeding enables a number of new surgical procedures that are not practical with conventional scalpel.
- Less Pain: The CO2 laser beam seals nerve endings and lymphatics, resulting in less edema and pain. The patient experiences a far more comfortable post-operative recovery.
- Reduced risk of infection: This is one of the unique features of the CO2 laser beam. It efficiently kills bacteria in its path, producing a sterilizing effect.
- Quicker recovery time: Reduced risk of infection, less bleeding, less pain and less swelling often allow the patient a far quicker recovery after the surgery.
Allows for a more precise incision.
Interactive Doggie Daycare
Our Interactive doggie daycare is a great alternative to your dog being home alone all day and gives them the opportunity to burn off stored up energy and socialize. We offer attentive group play and climate-controlled sleeping quarters during intermission between playtimes. On dry days, dogs are let out in our fenced-in play areas. During inclement weather, dogs play in our indoor play area. Doggie Daycare is split up in two sessions: morning and afternoon. The morning doggie daycare session includes playtime and is followed by lunch and a nap. Dogs are then taken back out to play for the remainder of the afternoon session.
Requirements for Daycare: All daycare dogs must be up to date on all of their vaccinations. They also must be spayed/neutered. For first timers, we require temperament testing to insure a safe environment.
Vaccines Required: Rabies(1-3 yrs), Distemper(1-3yrs), Influenza(1 yr), Bordetella(6 months), Fecal (6 months)
